My name, Asha, means “Hope” in Sanskrit. Keeping with the family tradition, my husband and I chose a name for our daughter that means “Loved One.” And she is so loved.

Having her changed my life profoundly. I learned that love has no limits – it isn’t a pie with a finite number of pieces. Love grows bigger and deeper every day. My daughter has taught me how to appreciate the simple things in life. Now I see what she sees: birds nesting on the roof, insects in the grass, shapes in the clouds.
